TfGM own an extensive tram network and are delivering a £1.4 billion expansion and improvement programme. We are responsible for the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the region and develop the transport and mobility policies needed for a more sustainable future.

TOI

The Institute of Transport Economics (TOI) is a national institution for transport research and development. The main objectives of the Institute are to carry out applied research on issues connected with transport and to promote the application of research results by advising the authorities, the transport industry and the public at large.

AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria’s largest non-university research institute and among the European research institutes a specialist in key infrastructure issues of the future. The mission of Center for Mobility Systems is to provide to the industry and society innovative and sustainable solutions for planning, predicting and optimizing the mobility of people and goods.

Aimsun

Aimsun develops markets and supports Aimsun transport modelling software, which allows high-speed hybrid microscopic/mesoscopic traffic simulation, dynamic traffic assignment and integrated travel demand modelling. Aimsun is currently working on the development and application of Aimsun to the assessment of autonomous and connected vehicles.
